Mixed is a short film about teenage friends Phoenix and Sam, who devise an immaculate plan to rob Phoenix’s step-sister Jada, and her rich friend Rebecca, one summer day.
Phoenix, the talk, slinky, brains of the operation and Sam, his loyal but clueless sidekick, set off on their journey to get some money. Their quest is met with a ton of silly mishaps as Jada and Rebecca enjoy the finer things in life on their day off.
Mixed is quirky, funny, cool, fresh, and at times pretty uncomfortable; everything being a teen is about. Ultimately this piece looks to showcase the fundamental commonalities that are inherent with adolescence. At a time where the media and society seems to be at an all-time racial and social divide, it’s important to remember our unique similarities.
